POSITION OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate must possess strong competencies in employee relations, talent development and retention. He/she will bring a demonstrated history of success building strong client relationships; possessing a hands-on proactive style that delivers solutions to support the lines of business.
They will be a trusted business partner, able to design, develop and execute human resource and people plans that enable growth and development (including integration and future acquisition activities).
Key to success in the role will be an individual who combines technical expertise along with a strategic and forward-thinking approach. The Human Resources Business Partner will proactively seek opportunities to engage and build strong relationships with the business so that they can identify areas to add value.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Builds relationships and credibility across the lines of business, providing an integrated approach (where feasible) while responding to the individual needs of each business

Develops the role of the PDC (Professional Development Coordinator) and establishes more clearly defined performance expectations in terms of leadership, delivering constructive and timely feedback, and people development

Actively participates in the people elements of acquisition and post-merger integration, effectively onboarding and assimilating new joiners

Facilitates the execution of corporate wide initiatives and program implementations within the LOBs in partnership with the CAOs

Partners with the Learning and Development Group on training, e-learning, and professional development needs of individuals to provide recommendations on talent development / skill building

Develops strategies in conjunction with the LOBs to identify key retention levers and ways in which to increase engagement and loyalty among our people

Participates in performance management processes to support people development initiatives, and follow up action planning

Manages sensitive and complex employee relations issues providing advice to the business on effective progressive disciplinary actions

Liaises with the recruitment team to facilitate effective communications around core recruitment cycles and related processes
KEY ATTRIBUTES / REQUIREMENTS

Is a strong communicator with highly developed influencing skills who is able to work effectively in a consensus-driven environment

Is self-confident to interact effectively with senior stakeholders

Strong team member and collaborator with other members of the Human Capital Group

Overall 10-15 years’ experience in a generalist / HRBP role
-
Background in professional or financial services
