Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Grade 3 Occupational Therapist to join the Acute Occupational Therapy team.

 

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

 

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital.  In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

 

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Grade 3 Occupational Therapist to join the acute team at Northern Health.

 

This position is ongoing full time with monthly Accrued Day Off. 

 

This role is based at Northern Health- Epping on the acute surgical wards. The clinician will be accountable for providing an evidence-based Occupational Therapy service to Northern Health inpatients through the application of expert clinical skills in assessment, intervention, and discharge planning. 

 

This role provides clinical leadership to the acute Occupational Therapy team and ensures that an evidence-based service is delivered across the continuum of care. 

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated clinical experience to a grade 3 level of competence. 
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • A positive attitude towards life-long learning
