WORK HOURS: 

3:00pm - 11:00pm

 

SUMMARY: 

Perform all activities that are custodial in nature and deemed appropriate by the Custodial Supervisor

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:

1. Keep buildings neat and clean at all times


2. Clean and maintain all assigned workspaces and equipment


3. Clean classrooms


4. Shampoo rugs


5. Clean floors


6. Remove trash


7. Wash windows


8. Clean restrooms


9. Floor maintenance (stripping and waxing of tiled floors)


10. Understand and follow safety procedures as provided by the District


11. Other duties may be required or assigned

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED required.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee frequently must squat, stoop or kneel, reach about the head and reach forward. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person while performing the duties of this job.

 

The employee must frequently lift and/or move cleaning supplies and equipment.  The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as tables, bleachers, scrubbing machines. 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee is continuously required to meet deadlines with time constraints, interact with the public and other staff.
