Job Summary:

Panelmatic  is seeking skilled Fabrication Welders to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will fabricate and weld sheet metal components used in electrical enclosures and metal structures. This position requires precision, strong blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Job Duties:

  • Interpret shop drawings and welding symbols to perform accurate welds
  • Perform MIG welding (mild and stainless steel), including spray transfer
  • Set up, align, tack, and weld components to meet dimensional specifications
  • Conduct fit-up, cope, and layout work for assemblies
  • Operate fabrication tools and equipment (grinders, torches, plasma cutters, etc.)
  • Inspect welds for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications
  • Perform grinding, finishing, and weld repairs as needed
  • Maintain dimensional accuracy (square, plumb, alignment) throughout fabrication
  • Collaborate with team members and notify inspectors when work is ready
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
