ESY schedule:  June 15, 2026 through July 9, 2026

Monday - Thursday, no school Fridays

Staff hours:  8:45 am � 11:45 am

Student hours: 9:00 am � 11:30 am

• Special Education Teacher, 4 days/week Monday-Thursday 

Orono Middle School

• Special Education Teacher,  4 days/week Monday-Thursday 

Orono High School/Transition

• Special Education Teachers, 4 days/week Monday-Thursday

Paraeducators

• Elementary Special Education Paraeducators, 4 days/week Monday-Thursday
• Secondary Special Education Paraeducators, 4 days/week Monday-Thursday
• Bus Aide

Qualifications:

• Special Education Teacher license for Teaching positions.
• Ability to supervise children in a positive manner.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Strong reading, writing, math skills.
• Experience working with children with disabilities.
• Ability to follow the teacher's plan and direction.

Compensation

• External Teacher and Speech Language Pathologist: $39.95/hour
• External Licensed School Nurse: $39.95/hour
• External Special Education Paraeducators: $20.89/hour
• Internal Teacher and Speech Language Pathologist: Regular Rate
• Internal Licensed School Nurse: Regular Rate
• Internal Special Education Paraeducators: Regular Rate
