Job Description

 

 

This position is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic online and print marketing plan for CSM Corporation’s lodging department. Takes ownership of event planning and management in an effort to build relationships with brokers, vendors and any other groups of business interest for CSM. The position is also responsible for maintaining CSM’s website, coordinating sponsorship efforts and any other external marketing efforts.

  • Knowledge of or interest in working with programs such as: WordPress, Canva, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Notepad, Illustrator, Google AdWords and Google Analytics, and Facebook advertising to leverage online presence, working with digital team to cement digital metrics/analysis process, and more.

Education:  A bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required. 

Rate: $70,000 - $85,000 annually, plus bonus

Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 3+ years of related experience. Must be highly organized and proactive, detail and solution-oriented. Exceptional writing skills and creative thinking is a must. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks is critical. Desire to work along colleagues who greatly value and sometimes challenge your input is essential. Excellent communication, writing, and proofreading skills are required. Social Media knowledge is a plus.

  1. Strategic Planning: Presents various marketing plans and strategies to the sales and marketing department along with presenting new ideas and platforms for the hotels. Stays well-informed of changes in the online marketing environment to best serve the objectives of CSM and adjust plans in a timely manner. Conducts market research and arranges the online transactions accordingly to help increase the company's business.
  2. E-Commerce: Manages all website and online advertising, search engine optimization, social media, and content marketing. Oversees the research, evaluation and audit of existing business related websites.
  3. People Management: Leads and directs the work of others within the department to achieve team goals in an efficient and effective manner. Develops all new marketing associates through training, coaching, delegation of appropriate tasks/responsibilities, and supervision. Reviews and edits the work of others, ensuring that messages are clear, thorough, on-brand, and seek to preserve the company's image.
  4. Marketing Support: Constantly improving processes and efficiency for the marketing department. Develops and maintains marketing strategies to meet agreed company objectives. Oversees marketing and promotional activities. Coordinate the design process of marketing material. Create marketing brochures for the leasing team to showcase to brokers and other related business partners.
  5. Project Work: Support or take lead on other Sales and Marketing projects as assigned.  Look for ways to improve and streamline processes.
