We are seeking a Ministry Programs Manager to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of ministry programs across Alfred Street Baptist Church. Reporting to the Director of Worship Experience and Ministries, this position provides guidance and support to ministry leaders in program development, budget monitoring, and new ministry development. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who builds collaborative relationships, strengthens program effectiveness, and helps ministry leaders achieve their goals through consultation, evaluation, and best practices. This is a full -time position located in Alexandria, Virginia.

Schedule: Tuesday- Friday, 9am-7pm. Weekend and holiday availability are required for special programs as the need arises.

What You�ll Do

Program Development and Support

• Support ministry leaders in the development, implementation, and evaluation of ministry programs
• Provide consultation and guidance to ministry leaders on program planning, evaluation, and best practices
• Support the design, launch, and evaluation of new ministry initiatives, including development of submission and review processes
• Conduct research on ministry programming trends and best practices to support program development and improvement

Strategic Planning and Partnership

• Provide strategic planning support to ministry leaders and connect them to subject matter experts when needed
• Partner with ministry leaders to strengthen program effectiveness and provide guidance on program strategy
• Establish and maintain new ministry development process and evaluation
• Assist in the development of relevant protocols and policies for ministry programs

Budget and Operations Monitoring

• Assist with tracking and monitoring ministry program budgets in coordination with ministry leaders and the Director
• Track ministry program support activities including training, program planning, development, evaluation, leadership support, and resource allocation

What We�re Looking For

Required

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 5-7 years of program development experience
• Strong planning and organizing skills with ability to prioritize activities, use time efficiently, and develop realistic action plans
• Quality management mindset with focus on continuous improvement, accuracy, and thoroughness
• Strong written communication skills with ability to write clearly and persuasively

Preferred

• Master's degree from an accredited institution
• Experience in church, nonprofit, or ministry environment
