ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Data Engineering & Architecture
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, data marts, and warehouse structures with medium complexity to support analytic needs.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, views, and transformations to ensure efficient and reliable data delivery.
- Develop automated data verification in support of data governance policies.
- Identify and remediate data quality issues, and gaps through root-cause analysis and process improvements.
- Actively participate in data governance and data strategy initiatives.
Reporting & Analytics
- Create and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and analytics using enterprise data tools.
- Gather and document business requirements to build technical analytic and data solutions.
- Perform quality assurance testing on analytic and data solutions prior to production release.
- Support business users by providing guidance on data usage.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure reports and dashboards effectively support decision-making.

- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, reporting, or business intelligence.
- Strong experience writing and performance tuning advanced SQL and working with relational databases.
- Experience with data modeling and ETL development.
- Experience using business intelligence reporting tools, such as Cognos, Power BI, or Tableau
- Strong understanding of data quality, data governance, and analytics best practices.
- A Data & Analytics Engineer II is a resource on the Data Management Team that is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise data solutions while also delivering high-quality reports and dashboards for business stakeholders. This position ensures that data pipelines, data warehousing, and analytics assets are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
