United Uptime Services, a fast-growing leader in the petroleum services industry, is looking for experienced, savvy, high performing Estmator for the greater Albuquerque NM area! In this role you will be selling petroleum fueling equipment, maintenance services, as well as installation new builds and retrofit projects.

What You Will Do:
The Estimator prepares accurate project estimates based on costs and quantity of materials and labor required to complete the job according to the defined Scope of Work (SOW). The Central goal, in addition to preparing accurate cost estimates, includes conducting pre and post job bid assessments of projects with the construction and sales teams to continually improve project estimating accuracy and to analyze win/loss for pricing adjustments. This role affords the opportunity to have a significant impact on the future of United Uptime as it continues to grow rapidly both organically as well as through acquisitions.
How You Will Do It:
- Request for estimate, shall be initiated by a well-defined (SOW), site plans, drawings, geo-tech reports, and intel from visits to project sites as required. The Estimator shall request and compile all necessary quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. They will review and assess supplier cost estimates for validity, accuracy, and refinement. The Estimator is responsible for researching, sourcing, negotiating, and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors with assistance from procurement when possible.
- Pre-Final Bid form will be submitted to Account manager and/salesman for total percentage markup adjustments. Once % adjustments are made Final bid will go to Management Team approval.
- Final Bid form will be submitted for Management and Department Managers final approval and total percentage mark up.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of petroleum or commercial construction estimating experience
- Report writing and strategic planning skills
- Energetic and self-motivated
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation and persuasion
- Troubleshooting skills/logical problem-solving skills
- Strong customer relations skills and be able to communicate effectively both internally and externally, written, verbal, and non-verbal
- Exhibit a professional demeanor, and develop customer relations and superior service
- Technology-savvy - experience with CAD Software, CRM, project tracking tools, basic computer skills and aptitude to learn new software
- Able to create reporting around costing data
- Good work ethic; integrity, critical thinking, decision-making, and judgment
- Work independently and as a member of a team
