JOB SUMMARY:
This Lead Carpenter position is a full-time non-exempt position. The Lead Carpenter works as the carpenter skilled in the completion of carpentry tasks and assists the Project Management staff in responsibilities that relate to managing the repairs of both residential and light commercial structures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Complete carpentry tasks associated with residential and light commercial buildings
- Manages available resources to complete assigned tasks
- Cognizant of job and personal safety
- May be required to assist in the Mitigation and/or Emergency Services departments on an as-needed basis
Skills Imperative to the Job:
- Able to communicate effectively with co-workers as required to complete tasks
- Proficient carpentry skills
- Able to use tools of the trade with precision
Desirable Skills:
- Bi-lingual
- Knowledgeable of fire and water restoration
- Knowledge and experience in local communities of region
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Lead Carpenter has limited supervisory responsibilities.
