This role may be based in Ogden, UT or Hazleton, PA

JOB PURPOSE:

The ESG Program Analyst will build and own Alphia’s ESG data infrastructure and reporting processes. This role is responsible for collecting, validating, and standardizing ESG data across all sites and translating it into clear, accurate outputs for customer questionnaires, investor requests, and internal reporting.

This is a hands-on role focused on execution—driving data discipline, building repeatable processes, and ensuring audit-ready ESG reporting across the network. Role is to set to reside in one of the following plants – Ogden UT, Pittsburg TX, or Hazleton PA but will tasked to help oversee company ESG and required to travel as needed to all locations as directed (approximately 25-50%).


DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. ESG Data Build & Management

Develop and maintain a centralized ESG data system (energy, water, waste, safety, emissions, etc.)

Partner with site teams to collect, validate, and standardize data inputs

Establish clear definitions, ownership, and data governance across all plants

Ensure data integrity and audit readiness

2. Questionnaire & Reporting Ownership

Lead completion of all ESG-related questionnaires (customers, private equity, audits, CDP-style requests)

Translate operational data into clear, concise external responses

Build a repeatable cadence for ESG reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual)

3. Cross-Functional Coordination

Work directly with Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and Finance to gather required data

Act as the single point of contact for ESG data requests across the business

Drive accountability at site level for timely and accurate submissions

4. Reporting & Visualization

Build and maintain ESG dashboards (PowerBI preferred)

Provide insights on trends (energy usage, waste reduction, safety performance, etc.)

Support leadership with simple, actionable reporting

5. Process Development

Create scalable processes to support future ESG requirements

Identify gaps and implement improvements in data collection and reporting

Prepare the organization for increased customer and regulatory expectations

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required).

  • 1–3 years of experience in:
    • ESG / sustainability reporting or
    • Data analytics / operations reporting within manufacturing
  • Strong experience with Excel and PowerBI (required)
  • Experience working across multiple sites or functions
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks (CDP, GHG Protocol, customer audits) preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The employee must be able to climb stairs and ladders ad walk the plant floors that could exceed one mile of travel, per day.
  • The employee must exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • The employee may be frequently exposed to allergens and/or airborne particles in the production area. Production employees are exposed to temperatures ranging from 50 to 115 degrees, depending on the season and workstation and may be working near moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions may occur.
  • The noise level in the work environment may be loud while production equipment is running.
  • Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices, including appropriate safety equipment apply
  • Personal Protection Equipment (including, but not limited to, boots, gloves, safety glasses, and/or face shields) is required during various processes in the production area. Ear plugs and bump caps are always required in the production area.
