Your Role in Carbery's Success

Overall Purpose of this Role:
Allocation of Quality positive released powder to dispatch consignments, re-palletisation, labelling and assembly of loads for dispatch loading.

Provide assistance and relief to the forklift drivers during busy times or when forklift drivers need cover.

How You Will Contribute

Key Objectives:

  • Follow defined work procedures (SOPs) and ensure work is right first time.

  • Prepare customer orders as per customer dispatch specifications (IOPM 11.28).

    • There are specific requirements for each customer (pallets, labels, etc.) listed in IOPM 11.28

    • Allocation of Quality positive released powder to Dispatch consignments, re-palletisation, labelling and assembly of loads for dispatch loading

  •   Keep all powder store logs up to date (container/trailer checks, knife log, temperature/humidity checks, etc.)

  • Complete monthly glass audits and hygiene audits corrective actions on Safefood 360

  • Ensure powder store, loading bay and IBC bag area are always audit ready (clean as you go)

  • Ensure Forklifts are kept clean and tidy and well maintained (e.g. top up battery with water when required)

  • Complete daily forklift checks

  • Provide assistance and relief to the forklift drivers during busy times or when forklift drivers need cover

  • Take pallets off the bagging lines and service the bagger with packaging whenever forklift drivers are unavailable.

  •      The high reach forklift will be required, occasionally, to lift pallets down from the high racking for Sportsfood Operators

  • Scan incoming raw materials and packaging, using bar code scanners, and place product in the correct location.

  • Carry out required checks using the scanner for incoming raw materials.

  •   Put palletiser and stretchhooder in Powder Store going when stops occur

  •    Keep the charts on each line up to date as product is taken out and put into each line or rack.

  • Complete documentation (as required) including DSI, bund checks and

  • Actively contribute at daily L4 board meetings and KPIs and shift changeover meetings and PEMAC (for maintenance meetings).

  • Provide suggestions of continuous line / process improvements

  • Conduct / contribute to problem-solving to resolve issues; escalate to appropriate management (where needed).

  • Raise jobs on PEMAC to ensure maintenance are aware and issues can be resolved in a timely way

  • Ensure the area is kept in a clean, hygienic and safe state

  •    Be available for weekend stock takes, as required

  • Be available for miscellaneous tasks from all departments including lab requests, maintenance requests, additives to process, operations requests, cheese relief etc.
