What You’ll Do

As a DSP II, you will provide hands-on support and mentorship to individuals in home and community-based settings:
  • Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, meals, hygiene)  
  • Support mobility, transfers, and safe transportation
  • Help individuals engage in community activities (outings, volunteering, skill-building)
  • Teach life skills and promote independence using individualized service plans  
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans
  • Create a safe, clean, and supportive environment
  • Respond calmly and effectively in behavioral or emergency situations

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required  
  • Experience in caregiving, behavioral health, or disabilities (preferred)
  • Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills (documentation, systems, etc.)
  • Valid AZ driver’s license & clean driving record (if driving is required)
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screen, and obtain Fingerprint Clearance Card
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus!

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and assist individuals (50+ lbs., team lift)
  • Frequent standing, bending, and movement throughout shift
  • Comfortable working in home and community environments
