    Position Title: Administrative Assistant to the Principal
    Location: Elementary School (PK�2)
    Work Year: Full-Time, 260 Days

    Position Summary:
    The Administrative Assistant to the Principal provides high-level clerical, organizational, and operational support to ensure the efficient functioning of a PK�2 elementary school. This position serves as a key point of contact for students, families, staff, and the community, and plays an essential role in maintaining a welcoming and well-organized school environment.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct administrative support to the Principal, including scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, students, and families, ensuring a positive and professional school climate
    • Manage daily office operations, including answering phones, handling inquiries, and directing communication appropriately
    • Coordinate and support kindergarten registration, including family outreach, enrollment documentation, and scheduling
    • Maintain accurate student records and assist with enrollment, transfers, and attendance tracking
    • Utilize and maintain student information systems, including the Alma SIS platform
    • Prepare reports, letters, and school communications as needed
    • Assist with scheduling meetings, events, and school-wide activities
    • Support staff with clerical needs and internal processes
    • Maintain confidentiality of student and personnel information in accordance with district, state, and federal regulations
    • Order and manage office supplies and materials
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
    • Prior experience in a school or office setting preferred
    • Familiarity with student information systems; experience with Alma SIS strongly preferred
    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office applications
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with young children, families, and staff
