As the Manager, Claims Analytics, you will lead both people and projects, playing a central role in developing a high‑performing team aligned with our strategic workforce plan. You will actively shape and influence the evolution of our team culture within the broader Analytics Community, fostering collaboration, growth, and excellence. You will also be accountable for driving business outcomes by ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, contributing directly to the achievement of our organizational goals.

 

How you will create impact:

  • Representing the team in project planning and scrums with business partners, translating business needs into clear objectives, and communicating progress to stakeholders.
  • Managing claims analytics projects and operations by setting and communicating objectives, measuring progress, addressing issues, and solving analytics and technical problems escalated by staff.
  • Ensuring the quality and effectiveness of outcomes by meeting standards and policies and achieving the intended results (data quality, accuracy, UX, performance, security, etc.).
  • Coaching and developing your team, recruiting and selecting talent, managing and rewarding performance, and fostering an agile culture to deliver on strategic objectives.

 

To join our team:

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in Claims Analytics, Business Intelligence, Actuarial or a relevant field.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial, statistics, computer science or relevant field.
  • You have demonstrated strong leadership capabilities, along with working change‑management and strategic‑thinking skills, supported by expert proficiency in analytics, data science, SQL/data extraction, business intelligence tools, data analysis and storytelling, and applied statistical methods.
  • You have strong knowledge of claims operations, claims financials, insurance metrics and attributes, and foundational insurance concepts and practices, with a working understanding of data and analytics governance and legal and regulatory environment.
  • You have strong business acumen to understand organizational needs and priorities. You have partnering, negotiation, and executivelevel communication skills.
  • This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

Salary Information

Salary range for this role would be $91,058.00 to $141,000.00
 

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
