About Us

KH + Madden is a full-service destination marketing agency that blends technology, creativity, and research-driven insights to deliver omni-channel solutions for our partners.

Our cross-functional teams craft compelling storytelling themes, develop custom campaign architectures, and execute agile media plans across the most strategic digital and traditional channels available. Guided by data, performance, and alignment to marketing goals, we remain nimble and flexible in reaching travelers, groups, and event planners while delivering strong ROI.

In short, we offer the whole shebang-full-agency services and integrated campaigns that combine insight, storytelling, and strategy to deliver results that truly move the needle.

About You

As our Experiential Marketing Manager, you're the go-to for creating immersive experiences that wow consumers and grab headlines. You'll dream up unforgettable events and activations that elevate our clients' brands while driving buzz, influence, and community connections. You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and tackle everything from strategy and ideation to onsite execution.

You live at the crossroads of creativity and logistics-you can envision big ideas, but you're also meticulous when it comes to turning those ideas into seamless, real-world experiences. You know the latest trends, tools, and technologies in experiential marketing, and you've got a knack for spotting opportunities to innovate. Basically, you're part storyteller, part project manager, and 100% a team player.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring the Vision to Life: Create the strategy behind experiential events for our clients, from media-worthy moments to consumer-facing activations, including tradeshow presence.
  • Be the Captain Onsite: Lead events from start to finish, handling everything from setup to teardown like a pro, and be the lead client POC during activation events.
  • Keep it on Track: Manage event timelines, budgets, and resources to make sure projects are delivered on point and on time.
  • Elevate the Experience: Guide and collaborate with our teams in creative elements-think design, copy, and visuals-to ensure everything aligns with the vision.
  • Collaborate Like a Champ: Partner with our Creative Services Director to keep projects running smoothly, providing timely feedback and delegating tasks as needed.
  • Build the Dream Team: Research, negotiate, and manage relationships directly with event vendors, ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine.
  • Seal the Deal: Identify and secure partnerships with relevant brands to amplify event success. Post-event, you'll measure ROI and manage follow-ups to keep the momentum going.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Rockstar Portfolio: Show us your work! Experience in both consumer events and trade shows is a big bonus.
  • Strategic & Creative Brilliance: You're a big-picture thinker with a sharp creative edge.
  • Organizational Guru: You can juggle multiple tasks and projects with ease, all while staying cool under pressure.
  • A Problem-Solving Pro: Quick thinking and bold ideas are your superpowers.
  • Budget Boss: You know how to manage the dollars and cents while delivering big impact.
  • A Natural Collaborator: You thrive on building relationships-whether it's with clients, vendors, or teammates.
  • Socially Savvy: You're up-to-date on social media trends and know how to leverage them to amplify storytelling.
  • Detail-Oriented Dynamo: Nothing slips past you, from the smallest contract detail to the big-picture logistics of a cross-country activation.
  • Adaptable Adventurer: Experiential marketing moves fast, and so do you. You're ready to grow and evolve with the industry.
  • Travel Enthusiast: You're ready to hit the road (or the skies!) about 50% of the time to bring our clients' visions to life.

Bonus Points:

A background in tourism marketing or a strong understanding of the travel and destination space.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in experiential marketing, preferably within an agency environment, for a major brand, or collection of brands.
    • 2+ years of tradeshow experience.
    • Experience with working remotely.
  • Skills:
    • Highly Organized: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
    • Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills for effective internal team and external vendor communication.
    • Problem-Solver: Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly during live events.
    • Tech Proficiency: Proficient in Google Suite (especially Sheets and Slides). Experience with project management software (e.g., Asana, Workfront, Cvent) is a plus.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings or weekends as required by event schedules.
    • This is a remote role, and the candidate must have a dedicated, professional home office setup and a reliable internet connection.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a self-starter & team collaborator with a passion for creating memorable brand moments. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting and have a positive, "can-do" attitude that contributes to a fun and successful team culture. You have 3+ years of experience in experiential marketing strategy & execution in leisure and tradeshows, ideally with an agency or multi-brand experience. You're excited to be on one of the fastest growing agency teams in one of the most fast-paced service lines and contribute to our next level of success for our clients.

What You'll Get from Us

We see your success as our success. When you join our team, you'll get:

  • Opportunities to grow your skillset through training, new challenges, and learning experiences.
  • A team that's got your back and is ready to help you thrive.
  • A workplace culture that values intelligence, ambition, authenticity, and a willingness to learn.
  • No hoops to jump through about degrees or specific experience-we care about what you can do and what you bring to the table.

Don't Meet Every Requirement?

That's okay! At KH + Madden, we believe diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences make us stronger. If this role excites you but your skillset doesn't line up perfectly with the qualifications above, we still want to hear from you. Who knows-you might bring something to the table we didn't even know we needed.

About the Recruiting Process

We like to keep it simple and transparent. Here's what the process may look like:

  • Step 1 / Assignment:
  • Interview 1: A friendly chat with our Recruiter to get to know you and share more about the role.
  • Interview 2: A conversation with team leadership to dive deeper into the role and team fit.
  • Interview 3: An interview with some of the awesome teammates you'll collaborate with, along with a member of the leadership team.

Heads up: At this time, we do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation services.
