Job Description

About the Department

  • Performs administrative duties for the Division Directors for Mental Health. 

  • Plans & coordinates division meetings, takes meeting minutes, develops and prepares various reports and completes other assignments as requested. 

  • Serves as back up for other administrative coordinators and administrative assistants within the Office of Behavioral Health. 

  • Monitors automated request to staff member system. 

  • Manages incoming correspondence and other issues from inmate family members. 

  • Submits commissary shopping carts for behavioral health staff at headquarters, Watkins & institutions as necessary. 

  • Produces & distributes calendars and schedules for statewide clinical services. 

  • Develops and maintains forms, spreadsheets and statistical data as required. 

  • Manages contract management system for Behavioral Health Services. 

  • Processes travel and training requests for institutional mental health.

Position Duties

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements: 

A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.                             


SCDC Minimum Requirements: 

  • A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services

OR      

  • A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
