Role Description:
This role provides landscaping support and light maintenance duties to Oceanside RV Resort. We are looking for someone who is the right fit for our team. An ideal candidate has 40 hours a week to fit your schedule and requires weekend availability. If you are dependable with a strong work ethic, we are willing to provide all the training necessary.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining the landscaping and overall appearance of the property.
Provide general grounds maintenance, including weeding gravel sites, maintaining gardens between sites, garbage control, recycling, clearing roads and walkways, lawn cutting, and grass edging.
Supporting the maintenance lead with the repair and maintenance of community buildings, equipment, and the resort facilities • Ensuring ongoing communication with Resort Manager and Maintenance Lead.
Always operate within the applicable Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company policies. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including safe use of all equipment, and actively monitoring for safety concerns around the property.
Prioritize the guest experience through excellent customer service. Responding quickly and efficiently to guest issues and helping as required.
Janitorial duties for facilities, including coverage as required for maintenance lead and cleaner.
Other duties as required.
Experience and Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience; Clean Driver’s Abstract and Clean background/criminal check required.
Landscaping or previous maintenance experience an asset.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs infrequently; ability to work at heights
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills

The expected hourly range for this role is $21- $23.
