Job Description

Convergentz, a division of Hunton Group in Houston, TX, has a new and exciting opportunity to join our organization as an SLV Correctional Solutions Sales Professional responsible for managing the full sales lifecycle of integrated electronic security, low-voltage, and correctional control solutions for federal, state, county, and specialty detention facilities. This role combines advanced security systems sales expertise with specialized correctional technology knowledge, serving as a trusted advisor to clients by delivering compliant, reliable, and operationally effective solutions that support life-safety, security, and facility operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales & Business Development

  • Manage the complete sales process from opportunity identification through contract award and project turnover.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities using structured sales methodologies such as Sandler, SPIN, Challenger, and similar approaches.
  • Maintain a strong and accurate sales pipeline within CRM to meet or exceed company revenue goals.
  • Build long-term relationships with correctional administrators, facility leadership, executives, and key stakeholders.

Technical & Solution Development

  • Design, estimate, and propose integrated correctional security and low-voltage solutions.
  • Serve as a technical and operational consultant for correctional facilities, ensuring solutions meet compliance, safety, and operational requirements.
  • Develop solution strategies that address life-safety, security, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and plan/specification reviews to support accurate system design and pricing.

Proposal & Project Support

  • Lead or support customer presentations, demonstrations, and technical briefings.
  • Support RFP, RFQ, and proposal development, including scope reviews, clarifications, and value-engineering opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with estimating, engineering, and operations teams to ensure accurate scoping and seamless project handoff.
  • Participate in contract reviews, project kickoff meetings, and post-award scope validation.
  • Promote and sell service agreements and long-term maintenance and support solutions.

Industry Engagement

  • Represent Convergentz at industry events, trade shows, and correctional technology forums.
  • Stay current on correctional standards, technologies, and industry trends to provide informed guidance to customers.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience supporting correctional or public-sector electronic security systems.
  • Hands-on experience with jail control systems, detention intercoms, access control, and video surveillance platforms.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of network infrastructure and cybersecurity concepts as they relate to security systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and industry-standard design and estimating tools.
  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with willingness to travel as required.
