Astria Health is seeking a Administrative Assistant to join our team! This position is located at our Astria Toppenish Hospital in the Behavioral Health Unit.
Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday
What you get to do every day!
As the Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our behavioral health department, ensuring smooth operations and efficient delivery of services to our clients. This role is pivotal in maintaining effective communication between staff, clients, and external stakeholders, while upholding confidentiality and professionalism at all times. You will:
- Coordinates all patient referrals received from external facilities across WA state.
- Provides general administrative oversight and support for the Director of Behavioral Health including managing unit/team meetings, preparing meeting and training material and maintaining patient data.
- Scheduling all patient visits, including family/external support, attorney, financial placement assessments, external appointments and transportation needs for discharging patients.
- Tracks and assures court orders are current and completes initial documentation for compel orders and additional/extended commitment orders.
- Prepares and maintains data and information and generates reports used for internal and external reporting and tracking.
- Maintains inventory of office supplies and patient supplies and orders supplies as needed.
- Assists with quality assurance including auditing various logs, basic QAPI data and general chart review.
- The person in this position must be able to participate in policy approved physical and mechanical restraint as trained with potentially dysregulated and/or combative patients and maintain personal, patient and staff safety without physical restrictions,
- Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
