SUMMARY This is an onsite Audits, Team Incident Cross-Functional EDUCATION OTHER QULIFICATIONS
The
Food Safety Manager – Supply Chain is responsible for leading all food safety and sanitation programs at our
prepackaged food distribution center. This role is responsible for ensuring
full regulatory compliance, maintaining high operational standards, and driving
a strong food safety culture across the facility. This position will oversee food
safety systems, lead audits and inspections, train employees, and partner with
cross-functional teams to ensure consistent execution and continuous
improvement.

ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned or required:
Food
Safety Programs & Compliance
implement, and maintain food safety and sanitation programs (HACCP, GMPs,
SOPs, SSOPs).
compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, and all state and local regulations.
the Food Safety Plan and all required documentation.
certification and compliance with GFSI standards (SQF, BRC, etc.) as
needed.
third-party audits, regulatory inspections, and certification processes.
Inspections & Risk Management
routine internal audits, facility inspections, and walkthroughs.
and mitigate risks related to pest control, chemical storage,
cross-contamination, and cold chain management.
corrective and preventive actions are implemented, documented, and
verified.
vendors and follow up on issues related to complaints or non-conformance.
as needed to support incident investigations.
Leadership & Training
with warehouse and sanitation teams to ensure proper food handling and
hygiene practices.
employees in food safety procedures, allergen control, and emergency
response.
employee health and illness reporting policies in alignment with food
safety standards.
current on regulatory changes, emerging risks, and industry best
practices.
and implement improvements to strengthen food safety systems and
performance.
Management & Documentation
food safety incidents, customer complaints, and product non-conformances.
root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
accurate records including audits, training logs, temperature records,
sanitation schedules, and pest control reports.
Collaboration
with operations, logistics, QC, additional DCs, QA, purchasing, HR,
Safety, and other departments to align food safety practices.
product recall activities, including traceability, inventory control, and
product disposition.

COMPENSATION:
The starting salary for this position is $90,000.00 annually. The actual starting
pay will be determined by a number of qualifications, including, experience and
relevant skills.
