    Job Requirements:

    • Current AHA Instructor status in BLS is required.
    • Experience teaching adults required.
    • Available to teach one day a week at a Tulsa Tech Campus or Client Location.
    • Bilingual is a plus.

     

    Essential Job Functions:

    1. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.
    2. Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
    3. Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment, maintaining an appropriate balance of classroom discipline.
    4. Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by District policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
    5. Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
    6. Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e.-prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.).
    7. Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's BIS program.
    8. Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the BIS department.
    9. Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervisor and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.

     

    Education:
    High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    Shift:
    Daytime/Evenings.

    Salary Schedule:
    Standard rate schedule for non-regular (temporary, adjunct, substitute) and regular part-time employees

    Hiring Range:
    $50 per hour
