Job Description

We are seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) to manage and support project-specific traffic control operations across multiple Washington job sites. This role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and regulatory understanding to ensure all traffic control staff, equipment, and documentation meet Tapani’s quality and safety standards.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all traffic control efforts for assigned projects
  • Ensure all efforts follow approved Traffic Control Plans
  • Support and train Flaggers
  • Track and submit Flaggers timecards
  • Ensure adequate and efficient staffing coverage
  • Promote professionalism and a safety-first approach
  • Monitor traffic control performance
  • Make adjustments based on changing project needs
  • Set up, maintain, and inspect traffic control devices
  • Ensure compliance with agency standards
  • Communicate with Traffic safety team
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all traffic control activity
  • Ensure all traffic control work meets compliance standards
  • Provide flagging coverage as necessary


Essential Skills

  • Washington and/or Oregon TCS certification required
  • Washington Flagger certification required
  • In-depth knowledge of traffic control regulations, safety, and compliance
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and accurate documentation
  • Experience maintaining and inspecting traffic control equipment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred
  • Experience in civil construction or roadway projects a plus
  • Ability to lead, train, and promote a positive team environment

Job Type & Location

This is a full-time project based position, with travel to job sites across Oregon


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.05 – $39.43 hourly, depending on experience.
