    Summary:

    The Cityside Club Softball Volunteer Coach is responsible to oversee and assist in developing the Cityside Club Softball program. 

    Responsibilities:
    • Attends athletic department meetings when scheduled. 
    • Submits an annual inventory of athletic uniforms and equipment that is used by his/her team.
    • Maintains professional competency by attending clinics.
    • Keeps the Athletic Director informed of any or all problems, before, during, or after all sporting events.
    • Encourages athletes to excel in academic work.
    • Submits an End of the Season Checklist in a timely manner.
    • Oversees the safety conditions of the area when team members are practicing.
    •  Enforces disciplined behavior, code of fair play, and establishes standards. Reports all incidents to the Athletic Director.
    •  Establishes an effective relationship with players, parents, and administrators.
    •  Attends practices, games, and meetings punctually.
    •  Uses professional conduct, language, and decorum with players, opponents, officials, and fans.
    •  Works with the athletic director to maintain player eligibility information.
    •  Teaches individual participants in the skills necessary for the highest possible achievement in the sport involved.
    •  Each practice session is planned out ahead of time.
    •  Submits necessary rosters, physical forms, eligibility list forms, and training rule forms signed by the parents.
    •  Is a positive role model.
    •  Adheres to those rules and regulations as detailed by the MHSAA and Board of Education policies and regulations.
    •  Maintains team attendance records and medical emergency cards.
    •  Works to promote increased participation to improve methods, techniques, strength and endurance both in and out of season.
    •  Displays self-control and maintains a positive profile with officials.
    •  Provides supervision of locker room and training room.

    Qualifications:
    • CPR/AED, CAP Certified Concussion Protocol.

    Replacement Position for 2025/26 School Year.  Volunteer Position.

    Once the posting deadline date has been met (if applicable), the supervisor/principal will review applications and schedule interviews with the most qualified candidates.  An email will be sent to applicants when the position has been filled.
