Job Description

Ayden Healthcare of Oregon is currently seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant PTA PRN. 

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in a skilled nursing facility. This role is crucial in helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through effective rehabilitation strategies.

Duties

  • Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans
  • Conduct patient assessments and monitor progress to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
  • Support patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve strength, flexibility, and mobility.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, care plans, and exercises to be performed at home.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and maintain comprehensive records of treatments provided.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop discharge planning strategies that facilitate smooth transitions for patients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Experience in physical therapy settings such as outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health is preferred.
  • Knowledge of patient care techniques and rehabilitation practices relevant to various populations
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating compassion and empathy towards patients.
  • Familiarity with discharge planning processes and the development of individualized care plans is a plus.
