Job Description

Lake Park High School is currently hiring for the position of Day Shift Safety Monitor (10-Month Position) as detailed below:


DATE POSTED: 4/21/2026
LOCATION: Floating Position for Lake Park East and West Campus
AVAILABILITY: 8/4/2026

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (in criminal justice-related field preferred)
  • Law enforcement or security experience required
  • Proficient with PCs, tablets, and other mobile electronic devices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and cloud-based applications
  • Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
  • Effective interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong orientation toward providing customer service
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work positively and productively with adults and high school-age students

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES: The work hours are 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. Safety Monitor

SALARY & BENEFITS: Hourly rate ranges from $23.41 to $26.49 based on experience and level of education, per the ESP Salary Schedule Appendix B (Safety and Security) in the District 108 Negotiated Agreement. This is a benefits-eligible position including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
