Responsibilities
Junior VAT Analyst entails dealing with supporting internal VAT checks improvement tasks and will be involved in compliance activities in the VAT area according to internal procedures and Policies (VAT coding and reporting)
Your responsibilities:
- Verifying transaction compliance with EU VAT regulations and performing appropriate controls
- Conducting VAT checks to identify improvement opportunities and streamline processes
- Providing support and guidance to ESSC teams on VAT matters
- Preparing VAT-related reports
- Leading or participating in the Track & Trace project
- Performing VAT process-related tasks
- Participating in ESSC VAT projects to optimize compliance controls
- Maintaining strong relationships with local business units and the global VAT team
- Conducting meetings with internal clients
What makes you a good fit for this role?
- Higher education in a relevant field (accounting, finance, economics) or equivalent
- Proficiency in English (minimum B2)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting or finance departments
- Practical knowledge of MS Excel
- Understanding of processes and tools used in accounting/finance
- Ability to work under pressure
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Adaptability to changing deadlines and priorities driven by business needs
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
