Description

Perform tasks, duties, and operations in the servicing, repair, and upkeep of all company forklift trucks and other powered vehicles and associated support equipment as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyzing and diagnosing problems and sudden vehicle breakdowns

• Ability to recommend the correct service and repair actions

• Assist the technical manager with projects and activities as needed

• Performs weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance as scheduled

• Scheduling and performing preventative maintenance projects

• Expected to keep daily logs for the service and repair tasks.

• Assist with internal Safety guidelines and OSHA procedures

• Participate in special projects, as required. Travel may be involved to other facilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• mechanical experience, forklift preferred.

• Understand preventive maintenance documentation, inspections, and repair histories

• Understand parts and service warranty procedures and other duties as assigned.

• Willingness to work overtime or modified hours to complete projects

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in changing situations

• Responsible for maintaining all forklift trucks and other powered vehicles as directed

• Responsible for associated support equipment as directed

• Must be able to read instructions, electrical and hydraulic schematics. Electrical troubleshooting a must

• Ability to pass a drug test and a general background check
