Job Description

Job Summary 

SoftGel Blending Operators weigh, combine, and process ingredients to produce quality nutraceutical liquid and gel capsule material. SoftGel Blending Operators clean production equipment and production rooms per Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). They take samples of materials or products to ensure compliance with specifications while taking into consideration the company’s commitment to our seven Core Values such as Sustainability (people, the planet, and profit) in the planning and implementation of all actions related to the area of responsibility.

 

Job Description & Duties

  • Manufacture quality nutraceutical liquid and gel capsule material
  • Monitor and supply production lines with supplies as per department schedule
  • Safely operate department equipment and report defects as required
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
  • Record all material transactions in the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Clean and sanitize manufacturing equipment and production areas
  • Inspect equipment for cleanliness and condition prior to sign-off
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
  • Assist in the development of Work Procedures (WPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs)
  • Troubleshoot production issues as required
  • Report all quality issues to department leadership
  • Follow and adhere to all given instructions including work procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Strictly adhere to and observe all safety policies as outlined in the company policies and training sessions, including the use of a respirator as required
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

Technical

  • Mechanically inclined
  • Previous production and GMP experience an asset
  • Mathematical aptitude

 

Attributes

  • Excellent communication in the English language, both written and verbal
  • The willingness and ability to wear a respirator
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Physically able to perform all required job duties for the duration of the shift, including lifting up to 23 kg
