    SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
    The Food Service Worker I performs routine food preparation and related work associated with the operations of a school district food service program.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
    1. Some knowledge of proper methods of serving food and the care of tableware, glassware, silver and kitchen appliances
    2. Some knowledge of cleaning methods and the use of cleaning supplies and appliances
    3. Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions
    4. Ability to read and write English
    EDUCATION, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
    High School diploma or completion of a standard high school course or an equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skill and ability. Strong background in food preparation, Serve Safe Certificate, 3+ years in food service.

    None required
