About the role:
In this part time permanent role, you'll provide outstanding hospitality to our visitors at our souvenir and gift shop located in the Waitomo Glowworm Cave Centre. Your passion for delivering top-notch customer service, along with your knowledge of our products and the local area, will ensure a premium shopping experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all visitors.
- Stay up to date with all Waitomo attractions, products, and services.
- Connect with visitors from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- Offer helpful insights on the local area and North Island attractions.
What We're Looking For:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in retail, sales, merchandising, or stockroom work (advantageous).
- Passion for the local area and a desire to showcase its hidden gems.
- Ability to create memorable and authentic visitor experiences.
- Friendly, confident, and outgoing with the ability to start conversations easily.
- Knowledge of Tikanga and Te Ao Māori (advantageous).
- Professionalism, excellent presentation, and strong interpretation skills.
- Energetic team player with a can-do attitude.
- Flexibility to work in a 7-day operation.
