Job Description

Technical Lead, ServiceNow Platform, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA

 

Responsibilities: Administer the Company’s ServiceNow environments. Monitor, maintain, and manage the different ServiceNow instances. Monitor and maintain Management, Instrumentation, and Discovery Server (MID) servers. Perform needed upgrades and instance cloning activities such as refresh systems to support software lifecycle management. Deploy changes within the different ServiceNow instances. Install, monitor, and maintain 3rd party applications and plug-ins within the ServiceNow environment. Engage with the ServiceNow support team when needed. Provide support for other ServiceNow administrative tasks/requests. Attend Systematic Customer Resolution Unraveling Meetings (SCRUM) related to ServiceNow development. Provide insight into the capabilities of the ServiceNow environment and provide status of tasks to the Scrum Master who is the orchestrator of the activities within Agile software development. Engage with the evaluation of user stories presented. Work on assigned tasks and/or projects. Create and modify code within the ServiceNow environment. Complete discovery activities for submitted “Stories”. Execute prototyping/testing activities for assigned tasks within ServiceNow. Perform additional activities needed to perform and accomplish assigned developmental or administrative tasks within the ServiceNow environments.

 

Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or closely related, plus 4 years of work experience in Service Management Systems Administration, Software Engineering, or closely related.

 

Special Requirements: EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE OF:

 

  1. Experience with how the ServiceNow Platform structures and processes stored data such as tables, fields, table relationships, and how data is organized and accessed to create fast, scalable, and easy-to-maintain applications.
  2. Knowledgeable on using ServiceNow Flow Designer and Workflow Editor, and how to customize the workflows to match the enterprise's specific needs.
  3. Efficient with writing JavaScript code using Glide APIs, optimizing performance, and following security guidelines.
  4. Clear understanding of the fundamentals of JavaScript, such as data types, variables, functions, and object-oriented programming concepts for programing language to the ServiceNow Platform.
  5. Proficient with Pro ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) and ITSM (IT Service Management) processes such as incident management, change management, and problem management to ensure that ServiceNow applications adhere to industry standards.
  6. Understand how to troubleshoot, debug platform issues, and analyzing data to resolve ServiceNow Platform issues effectively.

Travel Requirements: Amersfoort, Netherlands and 5%-10% in a years time.

The base compensation range for this role is $144414 – $165000 / year for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in California based on the date of this job posting. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range compensation package during your hiring process.
