Overview: As the Project Manager for our Transportation Management Center (TMC) operations, you will oversee all facets of people management, project execution, ensuring seamless coordination of scope, schedule, budget, and personnel for four different TMC locations: Binghamton, Utica, Rochester and Hornell.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Satisfaction and Relationship Management
Project Staffing and Development acting as people leader. Lead and mentor a team of Project and Operations Managers in alignment with corporate policies.
Regional Coordination and Leadership: manage financial oversight and compliance within regional projects
Financial Management and Contract Oversight:
Ensure timely monthly invoicing and collections, adhering to contract Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Manage project scope, purchase orders, and subcontractor relationships to drive account growth.
TMC Operations and Technical Expertise:
Demonstrate proficiency in TMC policies and operational procedures.
Provide expert guidance to clients and staff on operational best practices.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop emergency response plans and traffic management strategies.
In the absence of the Operations Manager, you will assume responsibility for daily operations to maintain uninterrupted service.
Qualifications:
Experience managing direct reports or acting as team lead with leadership, mentoring and coaching responsibilities
Experience in transportation management center operations
Experience working with New York government contracts or near by state agencies
Minimum of a four-year degree in management or transportation-related field and two years of professional experience; or six years of equivalent management operations experience
Experience fostering positive internal and external stakeholder relationships including client interactions and customer service
At least two (2) years of direct traffic management center project management experience most preferred
Willingness to travel up to 50% between four site locations: Binghamton, Utica, Rochester and Hornell and a valid New York driving license
