Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:  OUTSIDE SALES

SUMMARY: The Outside Sales force is responsible for increasing business revenue through interaction with new and existing customers in a sales-driven environment

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (other duties may be required)

  • Market products to potential and existing customers
  • Generate estimates/quotes and orders as deemed when necessary
  • Maintain value-added and long-term relationships with customers
  • Cold-call potential customers, including architects, homebuilders, and individual homeowners
  • Pick up plans when necessary
  • Deliver and pick up materials when necessary
  • Assist inside operational staff to facilitate exceptional customer service

Travel Time:

This job requires 75-100% of time to be spent traveling

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of High School diploma or GED is required.

A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Business Management or Marketing, is preferred; or 2-3 years in a sales-driven environment and/or management experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Bilingual in Spanish and English is not a requirement but is preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

This job does not require certificates, licenses, or registrations, but a valid Commercial Driver’s License is preferred.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:

The individual in this job must have a proven track record in sales, providing exceptional customer service, and delivering results in a fast-paced, improvement-focused and changing environment.

The individual must have proficient knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, and database management and systems
