Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Liquid cooling design and development:
  • Design and develop advanced liquid cooling systems, including direct-to-chip (D2C) and other liquid cooling solutions, to meet specific performance and reliability requirements.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for liquid cooling solutions.
  1. Thermal Analysis and Optimization:
  • Perform thermal simulations and analysis to optimize cooling performance and efficiency.
  • Use computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools to model fluid flow and heat transfer in liquid cooling systems.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance thermal management and reduce energy consumption.
  1. Prototyping and Testing:
  • Develop and assemble prototypes to validate design concepts and ensure they meet performance criteria.
  • Conduct rigorous testing, including thermal cycling, pressure testing, and leak detection, to ensure system reliability and safety.
  • Analyze test results and iterate designs based on findings to achieve optimal performance.
  1. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and electrical engineers, to integrate liquid cooling solutions into system design.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality components and materials.

Qualifications:

  1. Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, thermal engineering, or a related field.
  1. Technical Skills and Knowledge:
  • Thermal and Fluid Dynamics Expertise: Deep understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD) for creating detailed designs and schematics.
  • Simulation Tools: Experience with thermal analysis and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools for modeling and optimizing cooling systems.
  • Knowledge of materials used in liquid cooling systems, including their thermal properties and compatibility with various coolants.
