Job Description

The Position:

The HR Assistant supports the Human Resources department by assisting with administrative tasks, recruiting efforts, and onboarding activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient HR operations and a positive employee experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Recruitment Support:

  • Assist in posting job openings on job boards and company platforms
  • Screen resumes to identify qualified candidates and coordinate interview scheduling
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring clear and timely communication throughout the hiring process
  • Track candidate progress in the applicant tracking system (ATS)

Onboarding & Employee Support:

  • Prepare offer letters, employment documents, and onboarding materials
  • Conduct new hire orientations and ensure completion of required paperwork
  • Conduct Stay and Exit Interviews

Reporting & Administration:

  • May Prepare and maintain HR reports, including employee data, turnover, attendance, and recruitment metrics
  • Update and manage HR databases and personnel records
  • Assist in auditing HR files for accuracy and compliance

General HR Support:

  • Support HR projects and initiatives
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel experience preferred
  • Strong attention to quality, and detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

  • Carry up to 10 pounds a minimal distance of 100 feet
  • Walk multiple distances of up to 300 feet
  • Reach forward, less than 90° shoulder flexion
  • Sit for prolonged periods of time
