Job Description


OVERVIEW
Responsible for daily Guest Services operations, specifically the use of system software to process admission, membership registrations and point-of-sale transactions. Greets and responds to members and visiting guests in a friendly, professional, knowledgeable and efficient manner. Must be comfortable learning a variety of computer programs and have the technical skills needed to help manage a large membership database, process financial transactions and complete end-of shift balancing reports. Committed to delivering a legendary customer service experience to all guests across the Greenway, whether at our front desk, a welcome station, special events or programming. Some evenings and weekends required. Commitment of 16-24 hours per week preferred. 

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Greets guests and provides excellent customer service in a tactful, professional and pleasant manner; in person, over the phone and via email
  • Verifies membership status (visiting members); encourages and sells new/renewed memberships  
  • Knowledgeable on all Greenway membership options and benefits; able to communicate those effectively to guests
  • Disseminates information on all ASC Greenway policies, procedures, programs, scheduled events and activities
  • Provides walking and van tours to prospective and existing members
  • Assists with a variety of administrative tasks related to memberships, data management and constituency records upkeep
  • Maintains work areas and lobby area in a clean and organized manner
  • Operates computer software to process memberships, program registrations and point-of-sale transactions
  • Performs opening and closing cash procedures in an efficient and orderly manner; utilizes proper cash handling processes
  • Communicates any problems, concerns, or suggestions to supervisor in a professional and timely manner
  • Opening staff responsible for completing facility walk-through before open for business; reports any facility needs 
  • Closing staff responsible for shutting down computer workstations and locking all exterior doors
  • Assists in inventory management
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Blackbaud experience preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree or working towards degree in relevant field preferred or equivalent experience in the customer service field 
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred; will train
  • First aid/CPR certifications; will train

No supervisory responsibilities  

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to exert up to twenty pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects when needed. Most work is sedentary; it may be necessary to remain on feet for extended periods.
