Job Description

SUMMARY

The Reconciliation and Audit Specialist II is responsible for performing daily broker reconciliations of an assigned set of mutual funds for the Fund Accounting team.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Prepares broker cash and asset reconciliations for funds to be added to their daily packets.
  • Researches reconciliation items to provide explanations.
  • Provides directions to the Fund Accounting team to resolve issues in the Fund Accounting system.
  • Downloads monthly bank or broker statements for audit requests

SPECIAL PROJECTS

  • Works on audit support tickets.
  • Cross-trains on multiple reconciliation types to assist when coworkers are out of the office.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Contact as needed with external business partners regarding general information, audits, inquiries, or reporting requirements.
  • Collaborates with Fund Accounting, Financial Administration, and Middle Office departments, as needed.

May perform other duties as required and assigned.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field, or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services, or a related field.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Xceptor.
  • FIS Investment Asset Manager.
  • Accounting and finance principles.
  • Stocks, bonds, options, and futures.
  • Financial industry terminology.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adobe Acrobat.
