Position: High School Principal
Location: Ware County High School
Qualifications:
1. L-5 Educational Leadership Certification, required; L-6 or L-7 Educational Leadership Certification, preferred;
2. Minimum of 10 years of educational experience preferred including high school leadership experience;
3. Demonstrated skills in providing strong student discipline to include consistency, fairness, and support.
4. Demonstrated skills in effective communication with staff, students, parents, and the community;
5. Knowledge of and demonstrated support of extracurricular activities that promote student motivation and community involvement;
6. Knowledge of and support of all instructional programs to include vocational/technical, dual enrollment, and college preparation tracts;
7. Demonstrated passion for secondary education, the needs of high-school-age students, and evidence of a vision for a high school program that meets AYP and establishes the expectation of excellence; and
8. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Starting date: 07/01/2026
Salary: Salary determined by qualifications and years of experience
