Job Description

Job Objective:

To provide program oversight, staff development, and ensure program metrics are exceeded for a mission team of 10-12.  The Mission Services Team Lead will ensure programs adhere to the Opportunity Accelerator framework and be detail oriented, while demonstrating excellent organizational, communication, management, leadership, and problem-solving skills. This role requires a balance of independence and structure and the ability to meet strict deadlines while balancing shifting priorities. The Mission Services Team Lead has a process improvement mindset and the ability to lead a diverse team in providing quality programming and training that exceeds organizational goals.  This position reports to the Mission Services Director who evaluates performance annually.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • St. Joseph County, Elkhart County, and Northwest Indiana Opportunity Accelerator Teams.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensures daily operations within mission programming adhere to the Opportunity Accelerator Framework with client-centered approaches.
  • Monitors metrics for assigned programs to ensure clients receive impactful services with documented milestone achievements.
  • Provides support to assigned staff to ensure mastery of job duties, metric attainment, and facilitates professional development and skills training as needed through weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual individual and team meetings.
  • Builds relationships with a diverse team and curates a positive working environment through empathy, active listening, collaboration and a curious mindset.
  • Assists with rollout of new Mission programs, events, classes, workshops, and graduations.
  • Addresses staff disciplinary issues with a proactive approach that aligns with Goodwill’s Core Values.
  • Provides program coverage during staff absences.
  • Facilitates/assists with onboarding, quarterly conversations, and annual performance reviews for all assigned staff.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Develops and grows employer/community partnerships and secures MOUs to strengthen programming and improve client outcomes.
  • Collaborates with internal and external departments to stay informed about community resources, programs, and training opportunities.
  • Leads and participates in internal/external meetings as needed.
  • Seeks growth opportunities using a continuous improvement mindset for self and others.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
