Are you passionate about enriching the lives of seniors?  We’re looking for an enthusiastic Life Enrichment Director to bring creativity and joy to our residents' daily experiences!

  

What You’ll Do:

As a Life Enrichment Director, you will implement therapeutic activity and life enrichment programs for our residents. Your role includes supporting volunteers and leading holistic activity programs that align with our person-centered care philosophy, ensuring a high level of care and engagement.

You will also:

  • Create activity calendar for low and high functioning groups.
  • Manage activities team.
  • Be a active participant in multi disciplinary team meetings, IDT, psychotropic and QA committees 

Salary Rate: $77,000-$88,000 annually DOE

 

What you'll need:

  • High school diploma
  • 2-3 years experience in Skilled nursing facility
  • Familiarity with CMS/ CDPH regulations/ documentation/ care plan/ care conference/ MDS/ trauma informed care.
  • Preferred: Some college or degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Education, or related field
  • Two (2) + years of experience working with older adults, in long-term care, recreation, or activities programming
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Finger Print Clearance Card
  • State/National Activities Professional certification — such as: Certified Activity Director (ADC) or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)

In addition, must meet one of the following general criteria:

  • Eligible for certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or as an activities professional (nationally recognized)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program in the last 5 years -- with at least 1 year full-time in a therapeutic activities program
  • Be a qualified Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Completed a state-approved training course relevant to activities coordination
