Purpose & Scope of The Position:
Process Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the safe execution of quality maintenance tasks for planned and unplanned/emergent maintenance scenarios. Technicians are expected to support all facets of the operation with continuous improvements, equipment reliability, maintainability, efficiency, and availability.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding Crushers, SAG and Ball Mills, Conveyors, Belt Feeders, Hydraulic Systems, Pumps, and Pipefitting.
- The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability and desire to upgrade skills and knowledge using on-the-job experience as well as off-the-job studies, as needed.
- The successful candidate must be multi-tasked, including assisting Operations Technicians as required.
- The schedule for this position will be 10-hour straight days but may in the future require 12 hour rotating shifts. This job also requires working holidays and being available to work overtime when needed.
- All RNMC employees are accountable for the safety of themselves as well as that of their coworkers.
- The successful candidate must be willing and able to work night shifts, call outs, and weekends when required.
- Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.
- Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
Required Education, Work Experience & Training:
- A valid Driver’s License.
- The successful candidate must provide their own tools (a tool program is available).
Preferred Education, Work Experience & Training:
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience in mill maintenance.
- Fabrication experience and welding qualification is strongly desired.
Technical Skills:
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Ability to prioritize, self-start, and work under limited supervision.
- Mechanical ability.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and understand schematics, service manuals, and parts books.
- Ability to operate all shop tools and equipment.
- Basic competency in personal computer operation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to learn new software.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be required to attend relevant training or conferences.

Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to meet the required physical demands, including exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly.
