Job Description:
Speedway Schools is interested in developing those students interested in the teaching profession.  Being a cadet teacher will give candidates the opportunity to see the preparation that goes into a school year while also providing a variety of experiences working with students, staff, and families.
 
Job Requirements:
Must have successfully completed one year of an approved teacher preparation college program.  Interest in working with elementary age students.
 
Job Responsibilities:
Cadet teachers will be assigned to an elementary building and will also participate in the summer lunch program at the high school.  Those selected will have a variety of experiences that are part of preparing for the upcoming school year.  There will also be an opportunity to work with individuals and small groups of students in a learning environment.  Cadet teachers will be a community connection for the summer lunch program as well.
