Finance Clerk (Summer Student)

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Summer Finance Assistant to support daily financial operations. This role is ideal for a student interested in accounting, finance, or business administration who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional finance environment.
You will be provided training and supported in learning core financial processes, including data entry, record-keeping, invoicing, and financial reporting tasks while working closely with the finance team.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare hours for upload and invoice preparation
- Prepare, review, and submit customer invoices bi-weekly, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Post all incoming customer deposits
- Maintain and monitor the accounts receivable (A/R) aging report and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection
- Respond to customer inquiries or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
- Send monthly customer statements
- Gather and organize financial data as required
- Assist with data entry and general record-keeping
- Support financial reporting and month-end activities
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy and smooth financial operations
- Perform ad hoc duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed studies in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Willing to work 37.5 hours per week for 8 weeks
