Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials and verify against purchase orders or packing slips.
  • Accurately stage, store, and retrieve materials based on production schedules and inventory needs.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks (PITs) in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform inventory transactions in warehouse management or ERP systems.
  • Support production by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and assist in root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain proper documentation for shipping, receiving, and inventory movements.
  • Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety initiatives.
  • Frequent exposure to warehouse or manufacturing environments.
  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of material handling, warehouse, or logistics experience.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret bills of materials, work orders, and shipping documents.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory software (e.g., WMS, ERP).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Familiarity with barcode scanners or RF devices.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under minimal supervision.
