Description

The Appleton YMCA is hiring a School Age Program Director for the Extended Day Learning Program (EDLP). This leadership role is responsible for the administration, daily operations, and overall direction of the EDLP at eight elementary school sites within the Appleton Area School District. As the EDLP Director, you will support and lead a team of eight Program Coordinators, oversee budgets, and ensure high-quality learning opportunities are provided to school-age children every day. This role works collaboratively with AASD administrators to maintain strong communication among school staff, families, students, and YMCA team members. You will also be responsible for onboarding, training, and supporting both full-time and part-time staff, ensuring they feel equipped and empowered to create meaningful experiences for youth. Lead a passionate team, build meaningful partnerships, and help us elevate the future of out-of-school learning.

 

This is a full-time exempt, year-round leadership role with a flexible schedule. The current EDLP program operation hours are 6:30 to 9:00 AM and 2:30 to 6:00 PM.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
  • Registry Level 12 or above and school-age lead qualified
  • Previous experience supervising staff
  • Experience with fundraising and budget implementation
  • 2+ years working with school-age children
  • Strong relationship-building skills with children, families, staff, and community partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
