Job Purpose:
To perform various administrative tasks and provide excellent customer service within the mailroom. This role involves operating mailing, copying, and fax equipment, handling time-sensitive and confidential materials, and ensuring prompt delivery and accuracy in all tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Mail and Package Handling:
- Operate mailing, copying, and fax equipment efficiently.
- Pick up and deliver mail, parcels, copy jobs, and faxes to customers.
- Package and process outgoing overnight items (e.g., Federal Express, UPS).
Administrative Support:
- Perform typing, filing, copying, data entry, word processing, and sending/receiving faxes.
- Sort mail and perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Handle time-sensitive material, such as confidential and urgent packages.
Customer Service:
- Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide assistance with mailroom-related tasks.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt and accurate service delivery.
Operational Efficiency:
- Lift large bundles of mail, overnight packages, and shipments of paper as required.
- Focus on tasks with great detail, even while multi-tasking.
- Ensure dependability by arriving on time and maintaining excellent attendance.
