Wraparound Community Services (WCS) is a community habilitation program that offers people with disabilities choice and freedom to participate in community activities. This ever expanding program is dedicated to providing quality community based services to the individuals we serve. Com Hab is designed to increase independence and community integration for people with disabilities. DSPs in this program will require reliable transportation as services will be performed within the community and transportation to and from the client's home will be necessary.

WCS is searching to hire people and team oriented staff for an immediate opportunities in Poughkeepsie for Part-time Weekend positions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily living skills - health and personal safety, personal care, and money management
• Support opportunities to work on personal skills in the community
• Travel train - teach people how to navigate in the community independently
• Health and wellness - encourage healthy eating and exercise
• Self-advocacy and making informed choices
• Social skills and development - support people with learning appropriate social skills
• Money management
• Food preparation
• Safe use of public transportation

Requirements:

• Valid NYS Drivers License required
• Reliable transportation required - mileage reimbursement increased to $0.625 per mile
• Prior experience as DSP, HHA/PCA and/or CNA preferred

Additional benefits and Compensation:

• Additional $0.50 per hour for staff with 5+ years experience
• Additional $0.50 per hour with an up-to-date Defensive Driving certificate
