Summary of Position  

The Technician Three is an experienced technician who has in-depth experience with Telaid’s clients, as well as knowledge of industry standards and multiple types of industry products and certifications. The technician must be able to help support programs that will rely increasingly on relationships with business partners, to provide a consistent, outstanding customer experience. This includes the ability to cross-train technicians and business partners in specific client or product knowledge.   

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Act as a lead on site and direct, inspect, and audit technician’s work as needed 

  • Assist in training of less experienced technicians in scopes of work and administrative tasks. 

  • Take direction and learn from more experienced technicians on jobsites.   

  • Train subcontractors and Telaid technicians on theory and practices for reliable quality installations 

  • Install, program, test, inspect, and service fire alarm and life safety systems in accordance with NFPA 72, local codes, and AHJ requirements 

  • Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm panels, devices, and circuits; perform system upgrades and retrofits as needed 

  • Provide regular updates (email responses, ticket deliverables) to PMO, Resource Center and Service Center in a timely manner 

  • Act as point of escalation for clients; resolve issues where possible, otherwise escalate to FSS and Project Manager as needed 

  • Complete administrative job requirements in a timely fashion and maintain company vehicle and tools if assigned.  

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by management.  

  • Meet with clients to conduct job walks and submit info for bids/estimates, be able to identify obstacles/hurdles as well as make a materials list for potential new work 

  • May be used as a Quality Control technician
