Westerman, Inc., an employee owned company, is a multiple site manufacturer of production and storage equipment within the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. Summary



The Quality Supervisor - Nuclear is responsible for overseeing daily quality assurance activities to ensure products meet company, customer, and regulatory standards. This role leads quality technicians/inspectors, monitors production quality metrics, and works with operations to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives. This position empowers hourly workforce to accomplish 100% quality, responsiveness, production, customer service and safety in a team-based environment. A successful candidate is an organized, analytical, problem-solver with the ability to work efficiently and effectively with other functional areas to meet or exceed quality and delivery requirements. Seeking someone with solid leadership skills and a background in Quality.



Responsibilities

  • Manages performance evaluations, interaction and disciplinary process.

  • Manages staffing and scheduling (including overtime and vacation).

  • Assists teams (including maintenance and engineering) with continuous improvement initiatives (driving safety, quality and process efficiencies).

  • Manages goal setting, tracking and communication.

  • Identifies training needs and coordinates cross-training opportunities.

  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and procedures.

  • Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints; implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Conduct audits of processes, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.

  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve quality concerns.

  • Provide training and guidance to employees on quality standards and inspection procedures.

  • Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis activities.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company policies.
